DTA Elite 8 15U Tournament Rules
The official rules will be the HS ISHA baseball rules except where modified
1. All teams will play 3 pool games on Friday - Saturday. The 1st place team based on win/loss record in Pool A will play the 1st place team in Pool B for championship on Sunday. Team #2 in A will play Team #2 in B on Sunday, etc for #3 and #4. All games will be 7 innings with a 2 hour time limit. Time starts on the 1st pitch. No new inning will start after 2 hours. Championship game will have no time limit.
2. Games that are tied after 7 innings in pool play or after the time limit will be declared a tie. If the time limit has not expired, extra innings will be played up to the time limit.
Only the championship game will play until a winner has been decided.
No infield practice before games. Teams may be allowed to have infield practice for the first game of the day, depending on field maintenance issues. No hitting baseballs into any fence area.
3. 10 run rule after 5 innings.
4. Pitching rules – use common sense.
5. Teams have the option to bat up to 10 players. Each team may use an EH, and or a DH. The EH can also play the field. The DH can bat for any player on the field.
6. Courtesy runner for the catcher is mandatory with 2 outs and is optional at any time. Runner can be either a bench player or last batted out. Courtesy runner for pitcher is also optional at any time.
7. Home/Away will be determined in pool play and championship play by flip of a coin prior to start of the game.
8. Tie Breakers:
1. Best won lost record/winning percentage
2. Head to head
3. Runs allowed
4. Runs scored
5. Coin Flip
9. All decisions made by field umpire are final. Ejection of a player or coach will result in a suspension for the remainder of the game and the next scheduled game. Two ejections is removal from the remainder of the tournament.
10. Games suspended by rain or other matters beyond the control of the tournament director will result in the right of the tournament director to change the format or game times in order to complete the tournament.
11. All decisions by tournament director are final – No exceptions and no protests will be allowed.

13. Outside food and beverage is allowed. Please keep the facility and dugouts clean.
NO ALCOHOL is allowed on the complexes, parking lots or field area!
